Combined Relay Selection in Spatially Random Networks

نویسندگان

چکیده

In deterministic networks where relay nodes are stationary, combined selection is an efficient scheme, which capable of achieving the near-optimal outage performance with much lower system complexity. However, efficiency only validated upon fixed topological settings. To investigate in spatially random (SRNs), we employ Poisson point process to model dynamical nature cooperative and study proposed system. It surprising that equivalence principle appearing does not hold SRNs.

Spatially Random Relay Selection for Full/Half-Duplex Cooperative NOMA Networks

This paper investigates the impact of relay selection (RS) on the performance of cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), where relays are capable of working in either full-duplex (FD) or half-duplex (HD) mode. A number of relays (i.e., K relays) are uniformly distributed within the disc. A pair of RS schemes are considered insightfully: 1) Single-stage RS (SRS) scheme; and 2) Two-sta...

Optimal Combined and Adaptive Protection of Active Distribution Networks Considering Different System Topologies Incorporating Optimal Selection of Standard Relay Curves

The change in the topology of active distribution networks (ADNs) is one of the essential challenges that might affect the protection schemes. The conventional protection schemes based on base topology result in some coordination constraint violations in other topologies due to the outage of upstream substations and distributed generation units. In this article, new combinational and adaptive p...

Spatially embedded random networks.

Many real-world networks analyzed in modern network theory have a natural spatial element; e.g., the Internet, social networks, neural networks, etc. Yet, aside from a comparatively small number of somewhat specialized and domain-specific studies, the spatial element is mostly ignored and, in particular, its relation to network structure disregarded. In this paper we introduce a model framework...

Cascading Failures in Spatially-Embedded Random Networks

Cascading failures constitute an important vulnerability of interconnected systems. Here we focus on the study of such failures on networks in which the connectivity of nodes is constrained by geographical distance. Specifically, we use random geometric graphs as representative examples of such spatial networks, and study the properties of cascading failures on them in the presence of distribut...

Naming Games in Spatially-Embedded Random Networks

We investigate a prototypical agent-based model, the Naming Game, on random geometric networks. The Naming Game is a minimal model, employing local communications that captures the emergence of shared communication schemes (languages) in a population of autonomous semiotic agents. Implementing the Naming Games on random geometric graphs, local communications being local broadcasts, serves as a ...
